Camus wrote The Stranger to explain the philosophy of Absurdism, which maintains that there is no inherent meaning in life. Yet, when confronted with the claim that he was an existentialist, Camus rejected the notion. A classic that describes the anxieties of the middle of the 20th century, but in reality, transcends its time, to be relevant even today.
